I love doing bold eye looks and I get so many compliments. I want to be able to photograph my looks, document them, share them here! I've seen so many of you guys take such beautiful detailed pictures of your eyes/makeup! What tips and tricks do you have for perfect, professional photographs?

Remote! Get a remote for your if you have a DSLR. All of these I took myself with my camera and remote.

To do the eye looks specifically, take a picture of your whole face and crop your eyes out.

These were also with a remote and my canon t1i, and natural lighting helps a lot.

Yes, use natural light or white light. Use a camera that focuses well. It's always most accurate when you take a pic without flash, but it's nice to know how it looks with flash, too. Whatever you do, do NOT resort to using your iphone, or yellow bathroom light. Lol :)

Thank you guys! @erin Unfortunately I have a nice digital camera but I don't have the means to invest in a dslr with remote! I do approciate your tips though and I'll translate them the best I can to what I have. @Vanessa oh yeah no no I don't want any of those icky bathroom lighting photos hahaha >< nope. Thanks though! I'll be sure to experiment with lighting!

Then use a tripod or a monopod and the self timer mode. Just make sure auto focus is on!
