What products have you used so far? I recommend CeraVe products, but of course not everything works for everyone.

Cetaphil is my saviour. Best product for acne prone, sensitive and dry skin! It also moisturizes aswell!
I also love Johnsons moisturizer since its very gentle on the skin :)

I've used so many and that's a bad thing because I keep trying to find the one that's perfect for my skin. I have tried morning burst, palmers, shiseido, Giovanni, apricot scrub, la Roche posay, & freeman masks. I also try & use toners but I think I'm using too many products on my skin and it's not good but I'm so impatient and I want to see results quickly. I would say the aveeno cleansing pads are great but I stopped that for whatever reason I don't know why. I will pick some up soon.

Ok I have tried Cetaphil but only for like 2 days so I'm not sure what it does...what does it do?

Cetaphil is like a face cleanser but is a lot more delicate on your skin, it also helps moisturize.

So once I use Cetaphil, I won't need to moisturize as well?

Well I definitely don't recommend the apricot scrub. What's your skin type? Dry, Oily, Combo? It's best to start out slow, with one product at a time. That way you'll know what's actually working, and what's not. I understand wanting results quickly, we all do, but the skin is a constantly changing organ, and what it responds to most is consistent care. It would probably be best to start out with a gentle cleanser, a good moisturizer, then work the toners and mask into your regimen later.

Yesss that apricot scrub is too harsh ugh! It feels like it's cutting through your skin. I would say I have a combo skin but leaning towards oily with a few some dry places. I also have tried using origins checks and balances and although it's good for what it does it's not doing other things I want it to. I have some dark spots I'm also trying to get rid of! Can you give me some suggestions?

What does CeraVe do?

Okay, I have combo skin too. I recommend CeraVe products just because they seem to be highly recommended, and have worked for a lot of people. Or like the other ladies said, Cetaphil products are also good, but I've heard they're a bit greasier than CeraVe.
The CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser is suitable for all skin types, even acne-prone. You can use it along with the Moisturizing Cream (in the tub). If the moisturizer makes your oily places worse, you can try applying it to the dry places only, and using a light moisturizer like clinique's dramatically different moisturizing gel to your oily spots.
As for your dark spots, you can try using a chemical exfoliator, like lactic acid. It will stimulate cell turnover. St Ives Scrub Free Exfoliating Pads will work. but make sure you use a broad spectrum sunscreen (which should be used everyday no matter what) you can start out slow, and work your way up to 3x a week. Don't expect the results to be instant, it could take 3-6 months or longer depending on your skin.
And most importantly, use as tolerated. Not every product works for everyone.

I use the apricot scrub only three times a week. I used to use it everday and it broke my skin out even more and made it dry. I lessened it took three times a week and now it is doing its job and I have clear skin! I wash with the Clean and Clear microbead wash every morning and night and it is incredibly gentle. I also recommend using a face mask twice a week and the one I use and am OBSESSED with is the Lush Mask of Magnamity.

Dermalogica dermaclay cleanser is really great for oily skin and Dermalogica active moist is a great facial moisturizer. Of acne prone skin Dermalogica's skin clear wash and oil control lotion.
