Never even knew what gluten meant. when people ordered food and wanted gluten free I thought they were just high demanding nit piky customers. I realized I have lots of gluten in my diet and my acne on my chin isnt really going away. I know for a faCt acne on the jaw line is hormonal and acne on the chin means you might be lactose or gluten intolerant... who else has this problem?

I am gluten intolerant and ever since going gluten free all my acne went away. Also, I almost never get sick now that I'm gluten free.

There are a lot of other foods that can cause acne too. Gluten and dairy are two main ones though. I'm reading a book called "The Clear Skin Diet" and it's shocking how bad our diets have gotten over time and how no one is still making the connection to it. Look up foods that have omega 3 fatty acids in them. They're the good type of fatty acids we need to be eating but we're eating a lot of omega 6 fatty acids instead. I haven't started the full diet yet but I've been making small changes and I do see a difference.

I'm not sure eating gluten can directly be the cause of acne, but I know that an improvement in overall diet (eating healthier, fresher not so processed foods), is definitely helpful with skin clearing up and feeling cleaner

I think that if some1 ate ate a foods with a lot of gluten as babys are more likely to go bald &have acne problems &being overweight as thay get older. I think cuss its it like plastic but in food world &if it is then I clogs up our inside parts lil by lil overtime &imagine if your a baby eating spaghetti or a bunch of chips or cookies &you can barely process milk Likw wth dnt you girls think... my parents especially my dad never tryed feeding me things from a package.. everything was fresh except the occasional popsicle or soda. it had to be with fruit tho... I would have to sneak my bag of hot chettos &can of coke into my bag my dad is such a health addict..

Gluten is actually a natural substance that comes from wheat products. its a viscous substance that creates what we know as dough. anything that is not created from wheat is gluten free. a lot of brands have jumped on this bandwagon by labeling their already gluten free food(because it doesn't have wheat in the first place) as "gluten free" so they can create a "specialty line" with this label.

It's not that gluten is unhealthy or bad for you. but like dairy, some people tolerate it better than others and some can't tolerate it at all.

I have an allergy to gluten and when I don't eat it my skin looks so much clearer. Then as soon as I take one bite of gluten I break out. Hate it but I guess I'm sol.

Many people are gluten intolerant and don't even know it. Some people show symptoms with bloating, stomach pain etc, and others don't show this. Going gluten free or having a reduced gluten diet can have many benefits, your overall energy goes up, you could be less sluggish and feel healthier as well. Our skin reflects what we put in our body, so if we eat unhealthy, our skin will be unhealthy. If you're thinking of going gluten free or reducing your gluten intake, after a couple weeks or so you should definitely see results on your skin as well as your energy level.

Kikkoman makes gluten free soy sauce. I google anything before I eat it. And use the app GlutenCheck to look up individual ingredients if a quick search online isn't doing it. I watch out for anything sticky or caramel/ brown colored because they often have hidden gluten (ex. Some sushi rice, some types of caramel)
