Hi, I have a black rinse on my hair and I've had it for about a month and a half. For the fall and winter I want to go brunette with Boone highlights, but I've been told my black rinse won't lift. Is this true? What is your take on it?

It's will lift, but you'll have to use something that actually lightens hair. Since its only a rinse, you can probably get away with a low developer (maybe 10 or 20 as opposed to the 40 you would need to get permanent black out). I'm not familiar with Boone, but as long as it has some lift, it should work.
Also, it depends on how many layers of rinse are in your hair. If you only did it once, it will be easy. If you've done the rinse a few times, it will be harder and take more lift to get it out.

Like Kelly said, it'll lift once you use something to lighten your hair. I would try to wash as much as the rinse out as possible then lighten it to get it the color your want.
