Is there much of a difference between the acne brush head and deep pore brush head should I get both?

According to clarisonic, the acne brush should be the softest, while deep pore is a bit rougher. I'd start with the acne brush while you're skin gets used to it.

Whoa really? so the acne brush is softer than their normal and gentle brush??

Yes the acne brush is the softest brush they have. I tried it and at the end of the 3 months went right back to the sensitive one. The acne one was gentle but I think it was a little too gentle and it didn't do as much as it could have, I felt like I had more acne because it wasn't getting enough stuff out. Might just be me though. I haven't tried either the normal or deep pore brushes yet but the deep pore is the rougher one. It's going to be pretty harsh on the skin I think and should probably only be used for blackheads or occasionally when you really need the extra scrub.

When I talked to the lady in the store she said that if you're noticing more acne once you start using the brush that chances are it's actually too abrasive for your skin, not the opposite as I would have assumed. I tried the deep pore cleansing brush because I was using it for problematic skin. Shocker, it got worse. So I had mine sitting around for months until I talked to the lady at the Clarisonic counter and she told me to actually try a softer brush. I use the one for acne now and it's a lot better. I still see a few break outs if I've stopped using for a while but until they get a softer brush I don't mind using the acne one.

Mallarie makes a good point, and if you just started using the Clarisonic there are instances where the skin goes through a "purging" period so more breakouts are common, all the stuff left in the skin is being brought out and can reinfect skin and cause some more spots. But this should go away once everything is out and the skin adjusts. Just take it slow and if your skin is sensitive skip the Clarisonic one day and let your skin rest. And always make sure it has enough moisture. Even acne prone skin, actually, ESPECIALLY acne skin needs moisture.
