I have been using the trial and error method of trying to figure out what foundations are compatible with my foundations. I know that there are certain factors tbat can contribute to your primer not working well with your foundation. Any advice on what I should be looking for? Any web sites you can direct me towards for some sound advice?

Use water base primer with water base foundation and silicone base primer with silicone base foundation. I was skeptical and I did tests and for me it was so right!. I saw a big difference.

Laura mercier oil free primer and the original one are my favorites  primers.

Thanks Karine. I am not a huge fan of the LM primers though. I love the UD pore perfection primer but it doesn't love my UD foundation. It is seeming like none of my foundations are loving my skin right now. Even without primer no matter what I do my foundations are getting patchy and cakey on my forehead not even 30 minutes after I put it on and way before I get oily. Just having issues :(
