Beauty Product Reviews

I was not impressed with this

It is hard to describe the number 1 reason I didn't like this. I put this on my undereye area and it immediately looked like it had been sitting on my face all day. Like when your makeup starts to break up on my forehead and it starts to look like little dots. That is what this looked like from the moment I blended it on. The color was good but that was all I liked about it. It was kind of slick feeling. I like concealer that is creamy liquid. This had a slight foamness but was too thin at the same time. I know I'm probably not making a lot of sense but this concealer was a complete contradiction. The second deal breaker for me was that the first time I opened it, it had separated really bad in the tube. I had tk squeeze out a lot of liquidy watery stuff before I got to the actual product. I won't be trying this again.

really loving this

I have adopted this into my regular rotation. It is so pretty. It's light/medium coverage and that is perfect for me. It blends easily and is creamy feeling but it doesn't make my oily skin more oily. It has a nice glow finish but not overly luminous or greasy looking. When I set it with an HD powder it is really amazing. They work well together. This lasts me about 8 hours with a little fading and shine around my nose and chin where I am oiliest. When it starts to fade it still looks better than A LOT of other foundations I have worn. I really start to wonder why I have been so reluctant to try more high end foundations. This looks very natural and fresh but evens and perfects. I was especially happy that the color is light enough for me without being stark and dead looking. My shade has a yellow base but isn't sallow and livens up my ghostly self. It is slightly darker than my neck but it blends down onto my neck easily so it's not obvious. Definitely will repurchase this.

When I first picked this up, i tried putting this on with 2 different brushes and my fingers and all I got was a cakey streaky greasy mess. It look heavy and thick and not good. It has been sitting my my closet in a box full of products i have either tied and don't like or don't use regularly. My island of misfit products because I am a hoarder and throw anything away and rarely give anything away, but that's another story!

So, about a week ago I discovered this adorable red headed pale girl called Bethanyfae. She was so adorable and we have the exact same skin tone and issues and so when she said that she liked this I decided to give it a second try. She uses a tiny. It and does a very thin layer. This is exactly the way to use this. Build it up a little at a time. This worked like a dream for me. I used my finger to dot it around and then buffed it with a brush and then used my finger to dot it on in targeted areas. I am very pleased. My only problem is I do have combo skin so this being so creamy, I do have to powder a few times a day. It gets shiny. Also, if I don't use primer and mattifier under then no amount of powder can subdue the shine. So I took off a star and a half because it needs a boost but overall, I like it.

It's ok.

It's a little overkill with the packaging. It's really a lot bigger than it needs to be. The colors in this pallette are really pretty. Everything in the pallette is flattering. the powders almost feel like a cream and they blend beautifully. The mirror is huge and that is a plus. My complaint here is the lip products. They are all really nice and I love them but they are so inconvenient. Can't just whip them out for a touch up. Can't stick them in your pocket and go. I really don't like getting lip products in a big pallette like this. I would rather have gotten more eye colors. My second complaint is that stupid flat brush for the blush. I think those brushes are useless and just toss them out or give them to my 9 year old. Now I have this empty space that could have been another blush or a bronzer. It's wasted space.

This offers zero coverage. It doesn't blend. It feels funny going on. It kind of clumps to the brush. It's very grainy so it just sits there. There are tiny little glitters in it and they do show up in direct sunlight. Otherwise they really do nothing. It irritated my skin the few times I used it. Trying to blend it made my skin red and irritated. The 2 things I liked about it was the packaging and the little brush hat comes with it. The packaging is bigger but not really awkward. It would be easy to swirl the foundation in that container. The brush is actually a really good brush for liquid and cream foundation. It's retractable and easy to stick in a small makeup bag to take with you.

Not for me

I have his in he lightest shade and the color on the bottle hugely misrepresents the color of the product. It is darker and yellower than the picture on he bottle. This is good as far as moisturizing goes and yogurt a good size bottle. That is where it ended for me. It oxidizes on me and looks greasy. It's too shiny and in the spots where I get oily is looks awful. I added powder and hat just added fuel to the fire. It oxidized more with the powder added. Needless to say, this will not be making a return visit.

I have these in 5 sets of colors and love them all. The one in the picture is the only one I don't have. The colors are so pretty and go on so smoothly. Some of the glitters have a lot of pigment in them and some of them are sheer. I love them both but I really love the sheer glitters because I can layer them over my favorite colors. The packaging is nice. Not cheap looking like some drugstore packaging. I highly reccomend these.

This works great. I spray 4 sprays on my brushes dry and rub it around and rinse. That's all it takes. It does smell strong but it smells like fresh lavender. A good smell. I will continue to use this forever.

I don't get it.

Every time I try to use this it just soaks up my foundation and is too stiff to blend with. I end up using a ton of product for one application. I don't get what the hype over these sponges is about. Really it's too stiff. It is curved nicely but you really need it to mold to your face a little to get a good application and this is too stiff to do that. And seriously it soaks up foundation like its water. Even my cream compact foundation. I press it in and get one good press out of it and then there is nothing left because the sponge has eaten it. Really wish I could return it. A total waste of money

Beautiful girly colors, but expensive!

These are so feminine and pretty. They feel almost creamy when you touch them and they blend really easily like a cream as well. I have French lace and champagne glow. French lace is a nude light beige color with a very subtle sheen to it. Just enough to look awake and healthy. I use this a little under my eyes but always on my lids all over before the rest of my shadow. The hampagne glow is a peachy nude with shimmer. This is really pretty to blend with a super dark brown for a smokey eye. I was given these by my sister so I didn't pay for them and I probably wouldn't have before being that they are $15 each. That is just outrageous to me. Now that I have them I am on the fence about repurchase. They are very pigmented so I don't have to use much and they will last for a long time but even at that it goes against what I stand for to spend that much on a single eye shadow. Hhhbmmmmm...I don't know.
