I was wondering if any of you out there have had a problem with acne after STOPPING birth control? I have recently stopped taking my birth control and a couple weeks after doing so, have starting breaking out like crazy (and still am)! I was kind of taken aback at this because my face does not normally break out too easily. I have been investigating the causes of my breakouts and have narrowed it down to two possible causes: over-exfoliation or stopping my birth control pills. Right now my acne consists of little red acne bumps over my entire face (mostly focused on my forehead). This is a very rare type of acne that I get.
I was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience? If you have had an episode of acne from over-exfoliation or after stopping birth control please share your story!
Thank you!

After I stopped with birth control I had break outs, My cosmetologist said that it because that the body gets everything out when the birth control keep it in, it kinda makes sense. So don't panic and give it to pass away for couple months, it takes time.

Indeed probably because you stopped taking birth control. it contains lots of hormones which prevent acne and if you stop taking the pill, you don't get those hormones anymore..

Yes, its a known thing that your skin breaks out like crazy after stopping birth control. Its hormonal acne because after you get off birth control it takes a bit for your hormones to even out again. Have you tried Evening Prime Rose Oil supplements? They are the perfect thing for naturally treating hormonal acne, and they help to reduce inflammation. They also help hair growth.

It's the birth control. Birth control has more hormones that it's putting into your body (and it happens to fight acne) now that you have gone without that acne your skin isn't as protected. It'll go away once your body balances out the hormones and gets used to not having the extra hormones again.

It definitely is the birth control, your body is trying to adjust to the hormone imbalance. It should go away pretty soon but if it lasts longer than 2-3 months then I would see your doctor.
