I don't know about serums but you could try exfoliation. Yes To Grapefruits Exfoliating facial wipes would be a good way to get back to your healthy skin, or using a normal exfoliating scrub (NOT the St. Ives one, that leaves tears in your skin), or if you wanted, you could use peel pads. They contain the same amount of glycolic acid as a professional treatment, and they leave your skin feeling soft. My personal fave is Bliss "That's Incredi-peel!"
