Wayne Goss (gossmakeupartist) on Youtube has really good tips. Maybe you can try using concealer to cover dark areas and blotches on your skin, then use a foundation brush and a circular motion to apply your foundation. This also helps to minimize your pores. And set everything with loose translucent powder so it stays put throughout the day.
For even coverage I recommend the Kat Von D Tattoo Lockit foundation (from Sephora) it won't come off! Downside is that you have to work with it quickly but other than that it works wonderfully. :)

I also use Elizabeth Arden foundation I use the one with the sponge, but I damp the sponge 1st so the foundation goes on better & it last all day for me so you should try it if you use the one with sponge ✨😊💖

Its probably your foundation, the fit me foundation sucked for me but I have oily skin. Revlon colorstay stays on great. If you don't want to change foundations try a setting powder and setting spray. Elf translucent powder and spray :)
