Thinning hair may be a symptom of an underlying illness, such as a thyroid that's out of whack. I'd see my doctor for a blood panel. Until then, Biotin tabs have helped quite a few people. You can also use a bit of dry shampoo or hair powder at the root for volume. There is a line of products aimed specifically at thinning hair called "Clinicure". You can Google the name for more info, pricing and reviews.
