Gels Or Acrylics?

I love to have my nails done but hate the damage acrylics do to them. what are gel nails like? do you recommend them? would they make my nails hard like acrylics? that's my main concern. advice please.:)

Gels are just like acrylics as far as damage and hardness.

I like gels or acrylic with shelac. guess it depends on what I want them to look like that day.

I wear gel nails and I love it. it's a lot stronger than acrylics, so no worries about breaking nails :)
