I can never do a good smokey eye I just smudge it all up and end up just outing a light, tan eyeshadow on. Help!!

What colors are you using? Everyone tells me I'm good with makeup, but really a lot of it depends on what type you use, like whether it's liquid or solid. Make sure to let the eye shadow kind of sit for a minute. Like don't rush through it. Also, use a thin brush. That should help, too.

Make sure the colours go well together. Don't blend untill the end. Use brushes.

I was just like you for a loooong time. I could NEVER do a smokey eye, no matter how hard I tried. What I did is played around ALOT. I would watch so many tutorials on YouTube, which really helped me, and inspired me to figure things out on my own. The big key to a smokey eye is to blend blend blend! Try different things out and eventrully you'll get the hang of what your doing.
Ps I invested in some good makeup brushes, they make SUCH a difference :)

Make sure you have a clean fluffy brush that's only use is for blending. Keep it simple :) only use a couple colors but make sure one is a soft matte transition color.

Thanks so much jacqueline I always learn so much from you... I read in anther post about the ben nye final seal being the great to keep your makeup lasting all day so I ordered mine today lol I hope is as good as you made it sound, I've been looking for something that makes my makeup last all day I'm currently using urban decays all nighter its good but its not an all nighter lol.
