Hey, everyone! I enjoy doing makeup (as I'm sure you all do as well!) and consider myself to be a decent self-taught artist. I don't want to go to cosmetology school, as that is not how I would like to make my living, but I would like some lessons on basic application techniques and how to determine products to use. Can anyone think of somewhere I could go for lessons? I don't mind paying for them, so it doesn't have to be a free-with-a-product-purchase at a makeup counter thing. I live around Nashville, TN, if that makes a difference.
Thank you for your replies!

I often see classes being offered from popular Instagram artists, but they range anywhere from 200-300 dollars. So if this isn't your career goal, I'm thinking you night wanna go to a counter LOL.

If you don't wanna make a career out of it don't bother wasting money on classes. go on YouTube and type in anything you want help and tips on. I currently go to beauty school for becoming a skin specialist. I'm not the best at makeup but I'm completely self taught and my class wanted me to teach them how to do makeup. I learned everything from youtube! its a great way to make money on the side. (:

I know that in my area sephora gives lessons on specific days. I would definitely do some more research about your local sephora. but that's the only option I can really think of right now.

High school cosmology classes sometimes do classes for other people. I went to one at the high school down the street a few weeks ago, and they do different lessons every Saturday. It was all adults and quite a few elders. I was surprised at how many other high schools do this too.
