So I'm a newer MUA, still learning all the time - and I know I can't be the only one who has that one, awkward weakness when doing someone's makeup. Mine is lips. I always tend to get a little shaky when trying to get the "perfect lip".. Any tips? What are your weaknesses as a MUA?

I have the same as you Jacqueline. When I went to makeup school, we had a lesson on lip application, and we were told that it is one of the hardest things to get totally right. I was like" THAT;s the hardest things?? Guess what, I have to agree, that to get those vivid red colors on someones lips, still makes me nervous, as I still don't feel I am getting it perfect. More neutral colors are more forgiving, when it is not 100% perfect, but not red, deep plum etc.. colors.

Yes I always try and go around the lips with the foundation! It works miracles! I actually just discovered that trick in a youtube video not too long ago.. Thanks for the tip about holding my hand up, I'll definitely try that!! Carolyn - sometimes mine is a little off too - what really helps is to always step back to look at your whole perspective while applying makeup though- it really makes the difference!
