I had the same problem and I tried PREP AND PRIME TRANSPARENT FINISHING POWDER. it may be a bit expensive but a have it for over a year and I use it everyday so it actually worths it.

I think you should change powders. I heard that Ben Nye's Neutral Set powder doesn't give the ghostly look (and Jacqueline H uses it 😍) Also, if what if you apply the powder then spray MAC Fix+ to restore the luminosity on your face

I use the exact same foundation as you (UD naked skin foundation in 2.0). yes, powder is necessary for liquid foundations. if you don't set it, your body heat with make the product kinda melt & it looks terrible.
I was using Revlon translucent finisher until I bought the UD Naked Skin powder. they both work good with the foundation & make it look natural still.

Fix+ is just water so it wouldn't do anything for the makeup.

Try a spray that's used to add light to the skin, I don't know of any but I'm sure UD probably has one.

Just a tip for applying powder... Make sure that your foundation has completely set before applying a setting powder. If your foundation is still "wet", it can cause cakeyness. Also, when applying powder, do not swipe it across your face. Try lightly pressing it onto the skin. This will ensure that your brush won't disturb the foundation or runbit off.

You can also try blotting papers for when you start to get shiny. Just keep them in your purse and pop into the ladies room for a touch up.
