I'm not sure why it happens. But you can combat this by:
-painting the very tips/edge too to seal it. Same with top coat
-when you're done painting your nails. Put them in a cup of freezing cold water (let ice melt in it) to lock the polish into place. Also makes it dry faster 😍

I use a fast dry top coat, is the iced water still a good idea?
