How to get hair to hold?

I have kinda a "swoopy" style of bangs and I use hairspray to keep it in place. I'm kinda getting tired of hairspray and do not like the feeling at all... Is there anyway I can get my hair to stay in place without hairspray? (Or making my hair feel like a helmet) thanks! :)

I used to have the same problem, it helps if you blow dry your hair I the direction you want but never upside down. I'd use a little but of hair wax and run it through by bangs, comb it through and swoop your hair however you like.

If you use hairspray on bangs, you will probably get pinples.

Mousse is great. It's exactly the same holding power as hairspray but it sets softly, not crunchy like spray.

I tease my bangs the way that I want by bangs to go then I comb then softly and it stays all day for me
