Well when I used to want the same thing you want I used a nail froth serum and tried not to pick them.but now I hate anything being on my nails lol and I like em short know. But the nail groth serum worked.

Leave your nails bare fora few weeks you're nails need to breath. Try cuticle oil and push back the cuticle skin it may help. Try to hydrate them with a nice lotion or cream
