I think you should do dark brown or an auburn brown.

If you're looking for a stable hair color, don't go red. It's incredibly hard to get the same color twice. When I had red hair it started like that picture, and everytime I'd touch up the color with the same dye it'd be brighter or darker. And I tried dying some extensions, I ended up dying them black and giving them to my sister for her to use since I couldn't get it to match my hair color more than once. Brown is much much easier with extensions lol

Yeah unless your extensions are already red, and/or you have a lot of money laying ariund to invest in red, I wouldn't; not to mention you more than likely aren't goung to get that rich of a red and your extensions will look like caca.

The upkeep alone can be hella expensive, but the risk of effing up your extensions is even more costly I'd imagine, depending on how much you dropped on them/what kind of hair you have. But as far as I'm concerned you only go darker, never ever lighter. Too risky, and you more than likely won't get a color near that vibrant without multiple processes which again will only dry them out and make them look bad lol.

I've had red hair before and know its a lot of maintainence, lol. I just needed somebody elses opinion before I invest in buying permanent extensions.

Why buy permanent extentions?

I think a dark brown with an auburn hue would look nice, plus not a whole lot of upkeep and it'll be easier for your extensions.
