Try a high end foundation. Have a employee color match you. At sephora you can always ask for a sample. Last time I went they gave me 2 foundation samples and a whole pot full of the makeup forever concealer.

Omg I hate that It happens to me too ALL the time! I'm very very pale but I have really really yellow/gold undertones. No pink at all! I was so disappointed because I love the smashbox halo foundation but they simply don't have my color. The lightest one is extremely pink and the next one up is warm but WAY too dark for me. Then I had the lady at Ulta try to match me with some other high end make ups and she spent like 10 minutes staring at my face because she couldn't decide. UGH! I feel you.

While jaqueline covered it (as always), ask for a sample to take home!! Seriously, department store people drive me NUTS. Last time I went in to be matched I said "X shade was too warm for me so I need something neutral" and she said "well this is warm do we'll try this" and I got a major death stare when I reminded her I had JUST told her I needed a neutral. And check with return policies, most places are happy to accept returns and even happier to just exchange something.

Use just a bit of liquid yellow food colouring mixed with your foundation! It works really really well!
