I am going on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks and my make up bag is absolute stuffed. Mainly with cream or v glittery eyeshadows! I could manage with mascara, mac cream colour base in Shell and a couple of bright lipsticks and my Hawaiian tropic spf30 berry lipgloss so why am I taking all this stuff!!! I know to look my best and have options but I am wondering if I'm abnormally attached to my make up?!

Nope, I do exactly the same. I try to stuff all my palettes into a travel bag and then just accept that I'll only be wearing natural makeup on holiday anyway, so I should just bring my everyday stuff. Glad to see I'm not the only one!

Usually it's half my carry-on rollie! ha ha ha! I always want to be ready for anything... and so much of what I do with makeup is based on whim. I want to be able to satisfy my whims at any moment!

I'm the opposite. I love packing super light. And if I'm going somewhere that has a washer and dryer I'm really packing light because I don't like checking in my bag and instead pack everything in my carry-on bag. I have a small make-up pouch for the basics...all deluxe samples of make-up I have full size of....mascara, blush,lip gloss, eyeliner and a tinted moisturizer. I'm also famous in my family for shipping clothes to my destination and then shipping it back before going back to the airport for the return trip.

I went away for a few days last summer. Took tinted moisturizer, undereye corrector, concealer, the two e.l.f. shadow/liner sticks that I own (one's blue, one's purple), a travel-size UDPP, mascara, a blush duo, one or two lipglosses, and a couple of brushes. (I don't remember if I took any eyeshadows or not.)
For a longer trip I'd likely take quite a bit more than what I took.

I went away for a weekend and took 2 makeup bags that were both compeltelt stuffed and my fold out sephora pallet that has 8 levels! I only use foundation, eyeliner, mascara, and sometimes eyeshadow. When i go on a vacation i keep throwing stuff in "just in case" i do it with clothes, makeup, and hair stuff

I'm back! Right. I used mascara every night, a bright lip colour and a bit of bronzer. Didn't use Maybelline Colour Tattoos (i've got 4, i took 4). I tookl about 10 lip colours, I used bright pink, red and 2 glosses. Eye pencils. Teal, black, sparkly blue and khaki. Lent best friend the khaki one, didn't use the others. Definitely will not take as much next time!
