I need some advice for contouring the cheekbones with highlights and shadows. I prefer using pressed powders and just want to build my kit and try out some new brands and products. What are some of your favorites for contouring?

E.L.F. has these face quads that contain 2 bronzers, 1 highlight, and 1 blush shade. That are really good for on the go and super inexpensive. I also love the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer. I use Sun Bronze as my everyday contour.

Given your skintone, maybe something like a slightly darker version of MAC Omega e/s? Or you could try using a pressed powder that's a few shades darker.

I agree with Dana. Kevyn Aucoin offers amazing powders for contouring. I like the MUFE contour kits too. The best advice I can give you is to not use a bronzer to contour. Moreover if it's shimmery (shimmers do the opposite goal of contouring) and bronzer is warm toned which is not good for contour. A contour is a shadow, it is cool toned. If you are working on a client that has fair skin, MAC Omega e/s is a good powder to use. You can also mix two powders together. I usually use a brown shade and grey shade to neutralize any warm tone in the brown color when I'm working on a client. Hope this helped. :)

I just use Mac's pressed powder. I have fair skin and I'm quite pale so I just used the pressed powder in the colour dark medium. It just gives a slight darker colour under your cheekbones to apply slight depth. I only use a light colour as I don't need a huge amount of contour. Mac are really good and their not hugely expensive :) x
