Do you think that if you wear a colorful eye look, you have to have subtle lips? Do you think it would be too much to have fun eyes AND a fun lip?

I saw a make up look in look magazine recently that was cobalt blue eyes and orangy red lips and it looked amazing. I've bought a small no 17 eyeshadow trio in gorgeous blue shades but not done it yet! Well I've practised but not worn it out

All it takes is confidence. If done right, it can look MIGHTY sexy!! I'm still too scared to go out with a bold lip & eye combo. I want to rock a deep smokey neutral eye with a bright red lip but I'm so scared to.

I am getting a little bit more brave though. I've been wearing a bright purple smokey eye with a complimentary medium coral lip. All it took is confidence. It looks damn good & I'm not gonna let a little silly 'makeup rule' tell me I can't do it! haha

It totally depends, it has to be done right.

For example, if you have bright blue eyeshadow and red lips, you'll look like a clown. Try orange eyeshadow and red lips, and they compliment each other really nicely :) play around with different combinations to see what works
