How to hold curl?!?

My hair used to hold curls really well when I curled it but now it doesn't hold them very long now. What would help?? Thanks!!

I use the elvive 48hr hold its amazing since I have thick hair now all styles hold I use the power 4 xx

I use a hair straightener to curl my hair, I find it hold my curls longer than with a curling iron.
