Are there any other jobs you can have in the makeup and beauty industry without being a freelancing, travelling MUA?
I'm just curious as you never hear about any other beauty jobs that are 9-5 or maybe don't work as closely with makeup.
I would be interested to hear experiences of people who do have jobs like that!

The only place you could ever really be like that would be working at a salon or spa.

I was just curious, as there doesn't seem to be any other beauty related jobs out there. But I'm fixed on being an MUA :)

I work at a makeup studio in san diego. we do walk-ins, weddings, photoshots etc. There are makeup studios out there but it won't be like a 9-5 job.

And ofc there are makeup counters and stores that you work at but those are mainly aimed towards retail.

You could work at a place like Sephora, where the main focus is retail. You still get the makeup fix, but it's more about selling products.

I did a trial at a makeup counter and I HATED it...they said the only thing that matters is sales and while that may be somewhat true, it should be about the passion for makeup and giving people good advice and good products suited for them.
Oops, that went a bit OT
But like I was saying, you never see people do the paperwork in the beauty industry, if you get what I mean, it's sad for those that love beauty but can't commit to being an MUA :(
