Does anyone have any methods or tips? I'm trying to cut down on heat and I want curls that won't look frizzy.

Thanks guys I'll try both methods out. Btw where can I get flexi rods? and should I put in mousse or a styling product in before?

Sally's Beauty Supply has them. I recommend getting the medium to large size. Also if you're hair holds a curl well then no product. I also think it works best after you've curled the hair and dry with no product.

You could twist damp hair (the bigger the section the looser the curl). So you twist it so much that it curls back on itself, then twist until it forms a bun? If that makes sense! Then secure with a hair band or grips, whichever you prefer.

Look into rag curls. I have mine in now too. They're such an easy concept to go by.
This isnt' exactly the tutorial I've used, but it uses the same idea: http://www.abeautifulmess.com/2011/07/diy-curls-how-to-rag-roll-your-hair-.html
The best part is that it costs very little and doesn't take much time once you have the hang of it.

You could also try to braid small sections of your hair when its wet. I don't know if it really works because I already have curly hair, but wouldn't hurt to try it.

Spray curling spray throughout your hair, and scrunch it. Then twist it so it goes back on itseld into a bun, and secure with a hairband. Leave to dry, and undo the bun, you'll have really nice curls!!

If you go to sleep with flexi rods in it hurts horribly.
