My nails are short, because they keep breaking and splitting. I used to use clear coat to prevent that, but I ran out and wearing that 24/7 must not be good. I never actually paint my nails except for clear coat because of how short they are. How can I help my nail get harder and grow without pills?

Buy Sally Hansens nail growth and strengthener polish. I used that after I got my acrylics removed and my nails were awesome in no time!

Is there any clear coat that has vitamins in it that's not too expensive?

You can try Nail-Aid. It's a nail builder and I got it pretty cheap from Wal-Mart. I also used the Sally Hansen one. Vinegar will help keep them healthy as well.

I have really short nails too and didn't like to paint them cause I thought it'd be really ugly but short nails look cute painted.

Use cuticle cream to help with nail growth. Also keep a strengthener/ hardening coat on and having a health diet is always good for growing. Good luck and I hope I helped!

Try Sally Hansens hard as nails. That's what I use.

Here's some tips:
Buy a NAIL BUFFER and Buff them once a month. TO remove ridges and roughness.
File your nails at least ONCE a week so when they grow they can grow out even and prevent splits and peeling.
Buy SALLY HANSEN MIRRICLE GROWTH SYRUM and put a coat on atleast 1 every 3 days!
Buy a cutcle moisturiser

Don't bite your nails.

I completely agree with Heather. I file my nails once a week, it helps them from splitting or breaking. If you break or split a nail, file it don't bite it! You don't want your nails too hard. If they are too hard they will crack and break everytime you bump them like glass. You want them a bit pliable.
