Aloe vera might get rid and heal it. I think it might last longer there (it's on your hip right?? ) because the skin is thicker than the leg and arm. I got a bruise on my thigh and it was there for God knows how long!

I agree with sage. my sister had a big dark spot on her hip from scratching a mosquito bite. I gave her aloe gel and after a few days it was gone.
