I have a huge cyst on my right cheek and it is taking so long to get rid of, I used mederma to put on my scar near that area but of course it didn't react well with my skin and caused a huge cyst instead! What brand of tea tree oil works the best? When and how often do you apply it and can it really help?! I am going to the dermatologist to get it injected, but not until next week when she's free, so I am trying to do other stuff to decrease inflammation and what not. Please help!!

I also live in the New York area and prefer to not get it online because I don't want to wait that long

Any health food shop should stock it, their own brand will be fine, just make sure it's 100% essential oil. Just dab a tiny bit on twice a day. You aren't supposed to use it neat but I have and it hasn't done me any damage, but if you still don't want to then you can put a few drops on a wet cotton ball and hold it on the area for a minute or two.

Try to use a hot flannel on the cyst too to help take it down...

Ooh sorry I mean a regular flannel or towel cloth soaked in hot water to press on the cyst - I've head that this takes down cystic acne quicker (I get minor ones)

Burt's bees has a product called "blemish stick" and it has tea tree oil in it... But literally when I have a blemish I use it right before bed, and in the morning it's either gone or almost
Gone!
