I'm one of the few unfortunate ones who suffer with PCOS and have major facial hair problem. I NEED to get them removed either by waxing or threading every 10-12 days. they are dark n thick and most of all verg embarrassing. I have tried laser too but in vain. I am taking medical help but the doc says it can only be controlled and not cured. :( does anyone else has this prob? any solutions?

Silje H.
Do not, but laser could be an answer. Don't know that much about it, just remember that you are beautiful no matter what.

Did you try IPL? It's better and less painless than laser.

Oh honey I'm so sorry to hear about that :( I'm so happy that your doctor is helping you try to control it. I pray you find a solution one day.
I have a problem, somewhat similar to you. I hace hyper hydrosis, where you sweat too much. On my hands, feet, under arms... I know just how embarrassing a health condition could be. I couldnt wear colours because I would have dark sweat rings. I was afraid to shake hands, and touch people in fear of how they would react, I spent a lot of my time alone because of it... but I want you to know, I am here for you if you need someone to talk to. I take medicine, the highest dose of gycoypyrolate, and it comllety dehydrates me, so I won't sweat. I've tried botox, shock therapy, special deodorants, yet no avail. My ultimatum, everyday is to decide whether or not I want to sweat all day, or be dehydrated, choke on my swollen tongue, barely being able to breathe, and not sweat a single drop...
I feel for you, I really do. :( I think the best solution for you right now, is to embrace it, or accept it, and continue regularly with the waxing and threading. :) be strong, girl. <3

Thanks Silje, that really helped in making me feel better about myself :)
@rebella No I haven't. will look into it. thanks!
@Naomi I have lots of it, I visit the salon to get them removed. thanks though :)

I have it too :( I tweeze mine every day, but unfortunately I don't think there are any solutions that work really well. What works best for me is a low carb/ high protein diet and doing sports. Healthy living reduces the growth rate. But no cure - yet ;) You look beautiful anyway! Hugs.

@lilianna, did you try to check your diet? See if there's any change when you eat superhealthy. Or spiritual, getting your chakra's balanced. You never know, could be hormonal or whatever. Anyway I feel for you girls. You both look so beautiful btw.

@Lilianna thank you so much, it really does mean a lot when we are hear sharing and supporting each other across continents. I'm sorry to hear about your condition. One of my friend sufdera fr it to and I have seen how embarrassing it can get at times. just today I read an ad about a treatment that uses microwave energy to reduce excessive sweating. may be you could do some research on it and see if it helps you. I hope it does :)?
@Dorthe I have recently started a similar diet. need to lose weight too. hope we find a solution or a miracle soon :)?

@Reny- good to know that you have been able to take control of it. I guess I need to lose the excess weight and then opt for a cosmetic treatment.
thanks for replying @everyone? lots of love

So sweet, thanks! I hope the ipl works. There's also another technique, but I don't think it will be good enough, because it will take a long time and they do that hair by hair. It's especially for white hair on pale skin and dark hair on dark skin, something that laser or ipl can't do.

Rashi P.
What is the other technique? I would like to read up on both ipl as well as this other one. is it electrolysis that you're talking about?
Jun 24, 2013
Rebella A.
The website of my beautician is in Dutch, but it says: they put a thin needle in the skin into he hairshaft and electrocute the hairbag.

Rashi P.
I'm guessing it is electrolysis. thanks again :)

Lilianna M I have hyperhydrosis too ;-( it seriously is the worst thing ever!! I have it worst on my hands. The doctor prescribed me with a roll on type medication which I'd use on my hands every night which made them soo dry!! Can't win!! 😔 I am yet to find a cure or solution to it so I'd appreciate recommendations!
