I want to use a foundation (medium to full coverage) that will be good to my face. I've had acne for large portion of my life and my face needs some TLC now that I'm finally starting to get it under control.
Currently I use Revlon colorstay whipped foundation. It does its job, but doesn't help health my skin or give it a smooth complexion when I remove it at the end of the day. By smooth, I guess I mean healthy and hydrated. Not necessarily flawless.

I only use a bb cream. No CC or DD cream for me (yes, its gotten to the DD's, just waiting for the zz cream...lol). I have several actually in rotation that have been nice to my combo/oily skin...Garnier for combo/oily skin, Bobbi Brown, and Smashbox. Though all three give me full coverage I think its easy for me to say that because my skin is clear. I have no acne or scars to battle with currently. Though out of the three Bobbi Brown has a much heavier texture and so her formula actually touts a full coverage look. I would highly advise getting samples of at least several bb creams and trying them out along your jawline before taking the plunge as you don't want to waste hard earn money or risk possible irritation on a dud.

Thanks for the advice. Samples might be the way to start. DD creams already, huh? Lol.

I have an olay BB cream, a smashbox BB cream and maybelline and I love them all, but my skin is good and well behaved lol If I were you I would stop using the revlon whipped foundation, it is too thick for summer

Not really. I use BB cream over my foundation or by itself on good skin days. It won't do much to camoflague your acne. It's more of a light cover up. And it runs out quickly. I would stick to a fuller coverage, because BB cream is pretty much the lightest coverage out there, of the ones I've tried. The Too-Faced one isnt bad, actually, but the rest aren't very good. The CC cream I don't know too much about, however.

Thank you everyone. I think I'll just take the plunge and get a BB cream.
I miss a liquid foundation. They are so light and airy. Thanks so much for all the great input! :-)

They are worth the hype but if you mix them wrong they can make your skin look blotchy!
I had trouble finding one that matched my skin tone since I was so fair but I found one called hydra light.
You can even get some with built in sun screen since we all forget to put that on. Makes it worth it right there.
Best of luck!
