Sponge or Brush

Which do you use to apply your foundation? And why?

Oh and if you use a brush what kind do you use?

Brush for me! My F80 works wonders with applying foundation, and I also feel it is more sanitary since the bristles are able to dry completely, and there are less nooks and crannies where bacteria can grow and hide.  =)

I personally love to use both! I normally use a standard foundation brush for the initial application, then go through with a damp sponge and blend everything into the skin. I love the finish it gives. A damp sponge lightly dabbed over a powder foundation or setting powder also helps give the skin a really nice, natural look.

Brushes for sure! It's easier to maintain and clean brushes because things can get stucked in sponges so easily. Plus I find it a lot easier to blend my products with brushes. I generally use BB cream instead of liquid foundation and I apply it using an EcoTools foundation brush or a kabuki brush. The kabuki brush does a much better job at hiding the pores.

I used to do my foundation with a stippling brush bcuz the coverage was better and fast, specially for when I was in a hurry, but it had too many fall out so I went back to a sponge and love it. What I do is I wash them like every week with antibacterial soap.

I use a stippling brush, i can't remember the brand but i bought it from target i think it was a sonia h. brush! i love it! i don't think i would really like the sponge method even though ive never tried a sponge.

I like to use both. Depends on how my skin is that day and what foundation I'm using. I like the Sigma F80 brush to buff foundation into my skin for a full coverage, flawless look. If I'm going for a more dewy look or want less coverage, I'll use a damp beauty blender to apply my foundation.

Sometimes i use a brush ,sometimes a sponge. It depends on the foundation. If its more hard like a a stick foundation or if its more oily i use a sponge, but if its more low coverage or its liquid i use a brush.

I love a damp sponge for application. It gives a dewy, natural finish.

I USE A SPONGE..CUZ ITS BIGGER SO U CAN APPLY IT QUICKER AND IT LETS U RUB IT N UR SKIN TO GIVE A NATURAL LOOK

I would say it depends, because of my dry skin if I didn't scrub all the dead skin off and moist my face well enough I will flake not so pretty looking.
but for the days I feel kinda lazy I either use a foundations brush mine I got it from crownbrush or I would use my beauty blender which gives a great finish to the skin.
if I use a buffing brush I either use my sigma Round Top Synthetic Kabuki - F82 or my real techniques buffing brush.
but as I said it depends what finish I want to acquire.
But I'd say is with what you feel more comfortable using.

Neither LOL.... I rather use my hands. I swear nothing beats the even finish I get when I use my hands. However, I´ve heard great reviews abut the Bronzer Brush from Ecotools, so I just ordered it online. We´ll see how it goes.

95% of the time I use my duo-fiber stippling brush. I love how easy it is to place and blend. It's perfect for liquid or cream foundation. I rarely use sponges. I would if I had to, but I don't feel it blends as good as a brush, plus it soaks up a lot of foundation, even if you dampen it first.

When I wore foundation I used a sponge because it helps conceal my large pores.

When I use liquid foundation I use a brush because I find it helps to blend better and I use a elf foundation brush. However, if I am using a cream foundation I use a sponge because it's easier to apply. :)

Both. I apply my Revlon ColorStay foundation with a sponge. Just a regular ole' triangle sponge. I use it damp and just bounce it all over my face; as a user of the beauty blender would do.

Then when I apply my finishing powder I use a brush. Lately, it's between E.L.F. Kubuki brush, or the foundation (with the flat top) brush.

I use both. Sponge mostly for my chin area when I need to use another shade in that area.

What?! Fingers isnt a n option? Just kidding lol I just got a "beauty blender" knock off from Crown Brush and I like it alright. Ive never owned a stippling brush (VERY NEXT thing on my wish list) but I have applied with a powder brush which does give an amazingly good finish. The blender works well too I just wish I would gotten the actual Beauty Blender because it allows you to sort of roll it in on the side, the shape of the Crown Brush blender does not :(

I love my Beauty Blender to death, I've tried other ways but this just gives a perfect finish every single time.

I use my Sigma F80 more times then not. Flawless application every single time. I love my beauty blender too but I use it on days when my skin is look great. If it isn't then it doesn't apply the way I want it too.

I use a brush I just never got into the whole sponge thing and also it seemed very messy and not hygienic Where with a brush you can wash as many times as you like and re- use it and depending on what brush you use you can get a better coverage and more flawless application.
