I'm going to give you the same advice I've given every other girl who asked. If it is your passion, go for it. There are many kinds of modeling, figure out which one suits you and try it. Read New models.com. and good luck.

It cost a lot of money and you have to be a certain height and size it's very demanding! My uncle works works for a modeling agency in California it's crazy how skinny they are you definitely have to be 100% committed to the agency and modeling. And to also have to be willing to say change your hair color or cut it a certain way. If think about it for a little while definitely talk to your parents about it because of the money reason. But good luck if you do I'm not trying t stop you just think about everything

You also have to be 5'9 and higher on your height and looks and poise and weight if you want a good career goal I'd choose something different

They look for girls with natural beauty and don't wear a lot of make up (what my uncle has told me)

They you have to think about what kind of model your going to be.

That all depends on what type of model you want to be. that's just one type of modeling Aliya, and it should never cost money to start up a port.

I'm really short (5'1) so I'd go for more advertising modelling not runway. Also, I am recovering from anorexia so runway would not be best for me.

In order for someone to take professional pictures for the port it will cost money actually. And advertising still need to be tall my friend anna is a advertising model and her sister wanted to be but Anna got it because she is taller (5'8) and her sister is 5'3 but you still need looks and poise and to be healthy before anything. Yea runway modeling wouldn't work out sorry

If you decide to do modeling do not got with interface talent because they are going though law suites because of there agency. just saying.(that's also another thing you need to look for is flaws in that company)

Even commercial modeling has height requirements, generally the only short people they take are asians. (read this on newmodels.com ) I was also thinking about modeling but I think I've come to realise that its really cutthroat and with only being 5'1 there's no way I'd make it.

That's how I was last year I'm only 5'0 and weigh 102 it's really tough and you have to think long and hard about it

I wouldn't recommend it either, it can be a cruel industry.

Yes I agree that you should go for it if you realllllyyy want to, but make sure you're ready and committed to it. It's a very high-stress, demanding environment and they are very specific about what they want/don't want.

You'll have to constantly be watching your weight, have a good height (at least 5'7!) and you can't wear much makeup which is why I never went lol! You think it out then make a decision :)

You will have little luck with an agency. try freelance. no money to make a port, I swear. its called trade work. try out model mayhem. its a great way to have some fun and model to create art.
