My friend wants me to put bright colors in as highlights on the bottom half of her hair. I would have to bleach where the colors will go in because she dyes her hair black. Would it be bad to put the color in right after I bleach it so all the color goes where it needs to be?

Well..I've always heard that the best way to lighten dark hair is to do it in stages..and lighten in gradually in multiple sessions. So..I suppose I would say yes because the way you're describing it, it seem like you're going to be doing all of it in one day and that seems very damaging..

I bleached ny hair twice in one day to dye my hair pastel pink from dark brown, if its good condition then I'd go for it
