I'd like my subscriber count to be a little closer to my view count (aka I'd like more than just under 500 and I have almost 300,000 views), but uh, dunno how to get the people to subscribe. But yeah, that's a goal. Just hitting 500 would be nice enough right now, LOL. After two years.

I agree Rikki, I think that will come with time as most things do. It will happen :)

I find with any social networking site you really have to reach out and get yourself out there. My blog is starting to blow up since I started becoming more active and commenting on more people (whether it's feedback, advice, or "You look fabulous in that shade of green!"). Obviously you have a ton of views, but maybe interacting will help keep some of those people? (or maybe all 500 of your followers religiously check your page? haha)

haha I have only 16 followers so.... :D But yeah, as Taylor said, interacting is reeeally important! :) Good luck!

I agree with you ladies. i have like almost 3,000 views on my youtube accound but under 50 subscribers, it takes time. just keep at it. i have noticed that even though people like to see tutorials they love contest, ootd, and haul's so maybe try to cater a little to that traffic.

I'll do hauls if the people that like hauls so much give me the money to do hauls, lol! I've tried OOTD and wear the same outfits often. Doing OOTDs just wasn't for me. Same with contests. Those people will subscribe, enter, and then unsubscribe as fast as they subscribed when it's over. If I ever did a giveaway (yeah, who on YouTube actually does makeup contests now? lol) again, I wouldn't let people do any subscribing to win. They would have had to already be subscribed before I uploaded the contest/giveaway video.

Taylor B. is right. You have to network and interact with others! I just started my channel and right away I set up a Facebook and Twitter account for it. I let my friends know, and I've also joined various beauty forums to make friends and connections. One of the great things about the community is the friends you'll make. Talk to people, develop friendships, do partner videos, etc. I'm saying this like I know what I'm doing and I only have 25 subs. Haha, but I'm trying!!
