Nope, my mom is doing it ( shes a professional ) but shes always busy and I bearly see her so she can't tell me how to take care of it I usually dye it myself but when it comes to bleaching , she does it.

I bleached my hair and there is one thing that saved me: coconut oil. Melt a little coconut oil and massage it into your hair and rap a plastic bag over your hair. Sleep in it and overnight the oil will penetrate the hair shafts and make you hair softer than it ever has been ;)

Argon oil is a lifesaver. Also a deep conditioner is good. I like Aussies 3 Minute Miracle

A toning shampoo would be highly recommended. If your mom is a professional, ask her for the Matrix Total Results So Silver. It will keep hair from turning brassy due to things such as; product build up, hard water, chlorine, smoke, etc.

Second step invent in a sulfate free shampoo. It will be the absolutely most gentle on your hair. Also, a dry shampoo may be a good idea if you've not got one already.

Stay away from heat for a week after bleaching. You need to give your hair some time after taking so much from it after a bleaching to recouporate with your natural oils.

Now coconut oil is a good option, but I am a hairdresser so of course I've got a couple different suggestions:

I really like Biolage's Fiber Fix or Keratin Dose. I didn't care for them when I first got them, but I realized that is because it didn't really make my hair feel like it had had anything put it in, but my hair did feel significantly better once dried. I don't know how short you mean when you say you have short hair, but if its anything like mine, certain leave ins and conditioners can leave me like an oil spill versus soft hair. Another thing you can do, I'm assuming you go to your mom for all your hair needs, but feel free to stop into a salon and ask about products, if there are any samples! I love samples, as it is the easiest way to show someone why they should purchase a product. Please don't do this often, as it'll drive a stylist nuts, but if you go into a salon, they're able to see, and touch the condition of your hair and can give you great recommendations.

I hope this helps some, I didn't intend to right a novel, haha
