I wear bb cream, powder, eyeliner, fill my brows, occasionally a lip color but usually just balm. I'm only in 8th grade :/ I feel insecure without makeup and the only thing I sacrifice doing if I'm late is bb cream+powder. is it really too much?
I don't really see the problem with wearing makeup at a younger age like 13 or 14.

That's pretty much what I wear and I'm in high school. The only thing different is I don't fill in my brows & I use mascara.
@Mookey B, makeup doesn't always make you look like you have a grown face. You I don't see the harm in defining your eyes with eyeliner & mascara as a 14 year old.

That's perfectly fine :) its normal to define your natural looks at your age. just as long as you don't go crazy with eyeliner, bronzer, blush..etc.

Don't let your sense of beauty and self-confidence become dependent on makeup. You are very young to be wearing so much (that goes to everyone in this thread)! Your skin likely doesn't need all of that yet, and if you take good care of it now, you never will. You should be focused on treating and preventing breakouts. At that age, you shouldn't have anything that needs foundation or BB Cream, if anything just a little concealer.
For everything else, wait until high school. There's no need for it in middle school; you don't need to be "accentuating" anything because you don't want to draw negative attention (particularly from older boys/men). Just enjoy being a kid! Pay attention in school, don't get caught up in gossip and cattiness, and ignore boys for a few more years (they're still immature and kinda icky at that age, believe me). :)

I'm 13 and I wear foundation, powder, eyeliner, a lot of mascara, and sometimes eyeshadow.

Nothing beats the glow of youth and nothing can copy it either. don't try to hide it with make up. try to wean yourself off make up. I know how insecure you can be without it. later in life you're going to have to wear make up even if you don't want to because you won't have that youthful glow. don't destroy your skin prematurely by using make up so soon

I think you are okay but at your age I don't think you need to do a full face. I only wore mascara and lip gloss when I was your age.

I agree with Serene, I used to use lot more in middle school but I began to slowly take away a product every week. Now I only use concealer on red spots (bb cream if I'm breaking out) and mascara. Sometimes I use eyeliner & powder but lately I haven't.

As long as you know how to apply it and your not looking like a hot mess and it doesn't make you late and your parents don't mind I don't see a problem.

I agree to an extent, when you're young you usually have nice skin aside from maybe acne. Either way my take on this is to take care of your skin first and foremost. If you're comfortable wearing makeup then go for it. Everyone is different. I wore some weird makeup in middle school. I was made fun of, yes, but I wss already alienated because I was a "emo/goth." Looking back, I don't regret wearing that makeup. Sure I probably did not look my best and if I saw a picture of myself then I'd probably cringe. But it was fun. If it's something you enjoy, do it. But just know that you don't NEED it. At any age makeup is a personal choice and how much or how little you wear is up to you.
