So i want to own my own business as a image consultant, meaning that i want a business that does you hair/make-up, and also helps you with your sense of fashion. So i basically am trying to be like the T.V. show Styled by June, that's exactly what i want to be.But will be basically building confidence with your image. Here's the thing i have no clue on what classes to take in college that will actually benefit me except business, and then i have no clue what to do to get my name out there to be known.
Any help would be amazing!!

I would look into some art/fashion background to understand color theory and silhouettes of clothing. I'd also look into some psychology classes with a bit of marketing and PR on the side since you need to know how your client needs to represented. Hope that helps!

No worries! Image consulting is a difficult industry to get into because there is no standard. If you want, join LinkedIn and find an image consultant near you to message and bribe them out for lunch in exchange for a professional interview project. You'll be able to ask them all the questions you want, they'll give you direction and perspective from experience, AND... You get to be sneaky and scope your competition out or build a network with someone that might hire you in the future. You just gotta boost their ego and offer to pay for lunch, but I make up fake designer interview projects just to get the chance to "interview" ppl from firms I might want to work for. Use this tip if you can! It works WONDERS! =]

Ouch, maybe ur not on the right site? Sign up for a free acct. - LinkedIn is a Facebook for professionals, technically speaking. It's a MUST for any professional to have if they are looking for jobs or better offers. =]
