Maybe try getting a smaller and precise brush for eyeshadow? I do not use liquid liner right into the inner corners of my eye so I can't help you with that :(

Angled eyeliner brushes with a super pointy tip. I use gel eyeliner so it's a bit easier.

Gel eyeliner is easier to work with for me. I like angled eyeliner brushes for dipping them in matte black eyeshadow and using that as eyeliner (or using it to set pencil eyeliner). For liquid eyeliner, I feel that felt tip pens or brushes are easiest to use. I.e., Revlon ColorStay liquid eyeliner and Jordana Fabuliner pen. Also, some eyeliners have sponges at the end that you can use to smudge and adjust your eyeliner like CoverGirl perfect point plus or Mayelline define-a-line.
