It could be your skin type. Certain skin types are better with Mac foundations.

Well I m oily all over. But dry on the tops of my cheek bones. I use my fingers to apply. I've tried alot of foundations like Laura mercier, bare minereals, revlon colorstay( didn't have a color any where near mine) MUFE HD. Nothing covers me like Mac foundations be the studio fix or others.

MAC Studio Sculpt is the wrong foundation for your skin type! I had issues with it staying on my skin and my skin is dry! Studio Fix is definitely the way to go, either that or the Prolong wear - I've had awesome results with that and it stays put! You might want to try switching to a higher quality primer, Smashbox has a green primer.

What's your skincare routine? (It may be incompatible with your foundation.)

I wash with cetaphil in the am and use the Murad green moisturizer. Then wash with the St. Ives apricot scrub at night and treat with castor oil over night to clear out my acne.

Okay. :)

I ask because, as I noted, sometimes your skincare may not be compatible with your foundation. It may not be your foundation's fault that it's blotchy.

Are you using your primer all over your face, or just where it's red? (Same question re: your moisturizer.)

I agree Santina, Studio Sculpt is best for dry skin and will definitely transfer and rub off throughout the day. Studio Fix Fluid is great for oily skin, it's silicone based so it will last longer. I have normal/dry skin and I prefer to use it on myself as well because of its lasting power.

Also, make sure you apply your moisturizer at least 20 minutes before you start your makeup routine.

I am not a fan of MUFE HD, after an hour or so it gets dewy and magnifies my pores. Bare Minerals is also meant for normal/dry skin.

Have you tried MUFE Mat Velvet foundation? It totally stays put and has excellent coverage! I have combo/oily skin and I rarely even have to powder, this stuff stays wonderfully.

No I haven't. I'm starting to wonder about my skin. I think it's trying to turn sensitive it's drying out real bad even when I use moisturizer.

Try using the clinique dramatically different gel moisturizer, do you powder your face thru out the day?

I found that with MAC Pro longwear, the best way to avoid blotchiness is amending your skin care routine! I changed one thing at a time until everything worked for me.

Now my skin looks flawless when I wear my MAC foundation. I use MAC Studio Fix to set it and I love the results. The only time my foundation goes blotchy on my face is when I don't use my Origins Zero Oil Toner.

I would say Bare Minerals foundation. That would probably be best for your 'oily' skin. Mineral foundation can give you a full coverage and won't add onto the oils in your skin.
