I'm working at a store near the beach this summer and all day today I have seen COUNTLESS people walk past with their skin so red and raw from sunburn. It makes my skin crawl...how do you not wear sunscreen at the beach?! Obviously, you should wear it every day but at the very least especially when you're going to be outside all day. I just don't get it. I know not everyone is as into skincare as most of us on here are but you have to at least be aware of the huge risk of skin cancer, right? It baffles me. I've had to resist the urge to open one of the bottles of sunscreen we sell and go douse multiple people with it.

I know! I see girls laying out in the sun with Tanning oil on trying to get a tan! I cannot wait for the day when they're 25 and they look 45 because of all the damage the sun tanning has done to their skin. All people who protect their skin... Right on! 🌞

I just don't get it!! Even if it didn't cause skin cancer, sunburn hurts! Why you would avoid doing something to prevent it is totally beyond me. I just bought myself a new sunscreen for my face and an after sun lotion yesterday actually so I'm protected haha.

I'll tell you what amazes me, is I am 26 and I will see my friends from High School were huge tanning bed goers and laying out all the time, and they still do and they look SO much older, definite damage to there face especially they look 35 not 26, and we're still young, makes me so glad I had a mom who preached about sunscreen and skin cancer and then when I got out of high school I could!'t care less about tanning I'm pale and love it :)

When I was younget I wanted to be pale cuz it looks awesome with goth clothes lol but I learned how to love my skin color and I try taking care of my skin. Although sometimes I do not wear sunscreen cuz I'm trying to get rid of my lifeguard tan lines lol and I kinda regret not wearing sunscreen when I went to the beach this past monday because it hurts. The weird thing is that I barely get sunburns. I wore sunscreen on my face tho.

I agree. It concerns me when I see young girls tanning so much. I work at a middle school in the south and many of the kids and teachers use tanning beds regularly. They are so tan, it looks terrible on the older women and these 13 yr old girls are putting themselves at such risk. Sunless tanning options have come a long way, it's easy to fake it if you really wanna look darker.

There was a whole group of guys too. They came in early that morning and already looked sunburnt. I saw them walking around outside all day and then they came back in later and were red as lobsters. Ick!! The sad thing is I'm not sure any of these girls were trying to tan. I think they just skipped sunscreen and didn't really seem to care at all. The overall attitude I got from them just from the way they were talking to their friends was sort of like "oh well." But I agree, sunless tanning is definitely the better option all around. I just recently started using Jergens to just give myself a bit if a healthy glow because my legs look like a corpse's haha. I'd never dream of frying myself and damaging my skin just for the 3 months I'm at the beach this summer.

Annndd I accidentally clicked the post button too soon lol. But anyway, I don't think he has a problem with masculinity preventing him from using it, he just can't be bothered lol. But last year he worked outside a lot and never wore any and the back of his neck looked awful! I couldn't believe it. But I've been loving natural glow. I don't want to look like I've been tanning but I do want to look like I've been at the beach and not look like I just escaped from the morgue haha. I do like being pale but it just doesn't seem right to be soo pale on the beach lol.
