Hello :)
Ok so I have combination sensitive skin and I'm really annoyed because my skin is crazy dry but is very prone to acne at the same time. If I put on a good face cream to moisturize I break out :/
I don't notice my dry skin until my makeup sticks to it.
Any helpful hints for me? Either skincare or makeup to help not show dry patches with foundation and not break out from moisturizing?

You should try a brand that uses mostly natural ingredients - fewer chemicals might help prevent breakouts.
Or, even better, purchase a tub of aqueous cream from your local drugstore. It's gentle on your skin, moisturizes really well, has never made me break out,and is even good for removing makeup or using as a face wash.

I feel your pain. I too have dry skin and acne at the same time. I'm 32 and have been dealing with it for over 15 years. After many trials from proactive, which worked but was expensive and harsh too tanning, which too this day I don't know if the bad outways the good... Here's what I do that's worked the best for me. I've kept this up for months now and I've gotten the best combo of results. I wash everyday. I first use a cream benz. Peroxide cleanser like clean n clear & a facial scrubby pad to lightly exfoliate. Scrub on and let sit for 3 mins. Then I take the green redness soothing Neutrogena cleanser, cream or pump gel Wte, and do the same w a light scrub in circular motion, let sit. Rinse. In that order!!... Immediatley so my face is warm and moist I apple oil of Olay sensitive skin daily moisturizer to my face and neck. I've used it for 15 years and I love it. Never strayed on that product, but I do go generic if I can so topcare ect. Then here's something I only do in the summer which honestly really really really helps. I tan. :/ yes I know. It's not great. But the sunlight works best. I'm not dark. I go once a week. That's all. I use Almaty cover up stick and then a bronzed powder for my base otherwise I use Almay liquid sometimes if I need better coverage almost just after I apply my lotion. Apply a second coat of lotion if you need before the cover up ect. It helps. I get flakes too so the light scrubbing and the cleanser sitting for a few mins plus a good helping of moisturizer is what I've done. I hope all this helps. It does for me:)

I have the same skin type and nothing was working for me until I switched to more natural products. I love Skin by Ann Webb body and face lotion and I think that is what has saved my skin. I bought an 8oz tube for $10 at whole foods. it's light but very emollient. my skin went from dry and patchy with breakouts to normal/smooth (still dealing with some acne scarring though). I also switched to avalon organics vitamin c cleansing gel which has been very nice. another thing that has helped is to go lighter with makeup. I don't wear foundation anymore, I like andalou naturals tinted moisturizer or clinique's cc cream. both have spf and are gentle on my face.
