Watermarking photos

Do you guys watermark your photos? Should I? What is the best way to do it, so it isn't obviously there on my photos?

Contemplating about starting but I don't want it to look obvious.

I do it on my review photos. I just put the character 鬼 (lol "ghost" HELLO CHINESE NICKNAME YO) right in the middle and then lighten it so that it's not all up in your face, but still noticeable. At least to me so if I see it somewhere else, I can still be like HEEEEEEEY YO THAT'S MINE.

I used to watermark, but I don't anymore.

IMO, watermarking isn't foolproof. If it's in the corner, it can be cropped out. If it's in the middle, it can be painted over. Someone who wants your photo bad enough will get creative and find a way to get rid of your watermark.

The only surefire way to protect your work is not to post it online.

I totally agree with you, Shelly

Hey! I think nothing is 100% foolproof BUT def watermarking helps, at least you are making it a little difficult for the thief to steal your work.
I do it on my iPad and use an app called ezywatermark. It's free!
I upload my pics using the usb sd card reader

I used to watermark all of my pictures but I don't anymore. People can always photoshop it out of the pictures.

I would.

I've read a post before and thought, I've already read this. Stolen content. I would on pictures of make up looks.
