I've noticed my lips seem to be chapped when I'm upset, but perfectly fine when I'm happy. Is there a connection between your emotions and the dryness of your lips?

LOL that is a stupid question no offense.

I don't believe there is a causal relationship between your skin moisture and your emotions. However, there are a series of things that can be happening in tandem to produce the phenomenon you are noticing:
- You are upset, and therefore more likely to notice small negativities such as chapped lips than you would when happy.
- You are upset, so when you do notice the chapping it seems worse because you are subconsciously seeking the most negative in the situation.
- You are dehydrated, possibly due to whatever circumstances are upsetting you (e.g. at work dealing with irate customers without a chance to get anything to drink) and that causes your lips to chap as well as the emotions.
- Some combination of the above.

You may notice it when you're upset -or- you might be licking your lips (which causes chapped lips)

It's not stupid Hun. I agree, it's probably because you lick your lips more which leads to them being chapped and you probably take better care of your lips when our in a better mood :)
