Horse shampoo and eating things with biotin. The color shouldn't effect your hair growth unless it is damage.

I have thick hair too. I just ate healthy, never cut my hair and used a hair masque to repair any damage. I also braided my hair a lot and rarely used any heat on my hair.

Nothing can speed up the growth rate of your hair, that is determined by genetics. However, eating a well-balanced diet and having a healthy lifestyle will result in healthy hair.
Stress, malnutrition, and poor hygiene can stunt hair growth or increase breakage, making it seem to grow less quickly. Avoid styles that pull tightly on your hair (cornrows, tight ponytails or buns), and try to avoid using heat tools.
As long as you condition your hair and don't do anything else to damage it, the color probably won't leave any major damage.
The best thing you can do is be healthy. There are no miracle products to make your hair grow, despite what people claim. Don't start taking any kind of supplement without talking to your doctor, as it could be dangerous or an unnecessary waste of money. Come October, if your hair isn't long enough, you can look into extensions. But I bet it looks totally fabulous right now and once the shock wears off you might love it. :)

Horse shampoo can actually be found in the least expected places, like walmart. my cousin found some deer feed there and said there was a whole section like that for odd animals. also places like petco. hope that helped.
