How long do you keep it on for?

That's pretty weird. It could be your hair type, but I doubt that. Maybe try some different deep conditioners? I would think keeping it natural like you do would be the way to go, but okay around with stuff until you find something that works! I love the Aussie Deep Conditioner! Good luck!

In all honesty deep condition treatments are pointless because all you do is soak your hair in that product for 30mins or longer an then risen that product right back all for thay moment your hair feels good but the next few days is right back so overall there pointless! Unless your maintaining the integrity of your hair everyday!

If you use coconut oil it is because coconut oil actually penetrates through all the layer of your hair. try it!

And you can mix coconut oil w an avocado and other ingredients to deep condition even more. I would make sure its organic like Darlene mentioned (not bleached or refined). a good leave in conditioner would probably help too.

I have been trying the coconut oil thing lately too. I leave it in for like 8-10 hours and it doesn't really seem like it helps my hair that much. But I really love biolage hydrotherapie shampoo and conditioner for deep conditioning. If you leave the conditioner on for about 20 minutes with a shower cap over it your hair will be the softest you've ever felt it.

To be honest, home remedies are the best. I have had really dried hair & I use egg and mayo... Disgusting, but this seriously helped my hair so much. Lots of shine, the protein from the egg is excellent & my hair is still doing well & this was last year. I also trim it, that helps as well. Whenever you clean your hair from this, try a sulfate free shampoo/conditioner. (I recommend it's a 10) best wishes!:)

Question is, how are you deep conditioning your hair? Are you just putting the product in there and letting it sit for x amount of time, applying some kind of heat, or using a heat cap? Deep conditioning helps from the inside out [eh, well root to tip anyway] to keep it strong and replenishing nourishment that you lost from the shampoo [if you use a shampoo with sulphates]. So I deep condition under a dryer so my follicles open up and stuff gets in or a heat cap [uses your body heat].
If your issue is coarse hair then that's just your hair texture, or well it could be, nothings going to change that. There are temporary fixes that can make it softer, but your hair texture is your hair texture and the only things I've seen fix it permanently [or until the new growth comes in] are perms, other chemicals, and an change in hair regimen [like cutting it off, which helped mine]. But try hot oil treatments and staying away from excessive heat that isn't needed [blow drying, flat irons, etc, if you need to do them do them on low to medium heat], also, make sure to moisturize your hair [how often this should be done all depends on your hairs personal preference though]

Make sure you rinse it out wirh cool water and ut should feel better. and don't do it too often because roo much protein xan also dry your hair out and cause breakage. I'd probably do it once a week.
