I use proactive. It works so good. I tried other brands from the drug stores but nothing worked. You should try it if it doesn't work just return it.

I would recommend trying products until you find ones that work for your skin. The two main ingredients in most 'main stream' acne systems are benzoyl peroxide or sacylic acid. If products with neither of these work then you can look at some other products like natural ones, etc.until you find ones that work on your ski type.
Also be sure to wash your face twice a day, moisturize (even if you have oily skin!!) and exfoliate once or twice a week. Other than that you can also use spot treatments, masks, etc.
Hope this helps!

I've had a couple friends who have gone through that. When they stopped using it they broke out.
But I use african black soap and make sure to exfoliate with a facial scrub, when I remove my makeup I use grapeseed or coconut oil and let it rest on my face with a warm wash cloth over it for a good 30 seconds to a minute and then wipe.

Chemical exfoliation is great for acne prone skin, I use a gycolic acid in 10%..it also kills bacteria. A gentle cleanser that doesn't strip the skin is a must as well. Baby your face :)

I don't have acne prone skin, but when I stopped using proactive a month and a half ago (I ran out), my skin broke out. Not too bad, but I'm not used to breaking out at all, so what little did happen freaked me out. I'm not using proactive anymore, only a daily moisturizer, and my skin is completely clear again. I would not recommend proactiv.
