I think it needs to heal on its own but you can use aloe Vera to soothe it so it isn't so painful.

You can put aloe vera in an ice cube tray and freeze it, use the cubes to cool and soothe, also after sun lotion is good at nighttime to take the heat out of the burn

Aloe Vera gel will definitely help. I recently got sunburned and did a little bit of research.. I found that you should apply water (I'm assuming in the shower or bath) a little bit colder than lukewarm before applying the gel.. They said to do that to "release the heat" trapped in the skin. And to not have the water too cold because the heat could stay beneath the skin due to the minimizing of your pores. Also always pat dry, stay moisturized, and drink plenty of water to aid to the damaged skin.
