I know (from the smell) nail polish isn't necessarily good for you, but are there some polishes that are worse for your nails (and you) than others? I have everything from wet'n'wild to recently Zoya.
I have to say I love the way the Zoya goes on but I am so cheap. I just recently started painting my nails again so I don't know when I will go on another paint free dry spell. I got some China Glaze from Sally's the other day but I haven't used it yet so I have yet to form an opinion.
So what are your opinions?

i love china glaze polishes but i do find myself using 2-3 coats depending on if its a lighter or darker colour though..

Yeah, aside from quality, some nail polishes are really bad for you. Most nail polishes have removed these toxins, so you don't have to worry about it, but here they are: toluene, DBP, and formaldehyde. There are other bad ones, but those are the worst. The only nail polish that comes to mind that still has them is Seche Vite, so stay away from that top coat.

I use Jamberry Nail Shields which are free from Harsh Chemicals, no odor and last 2 weeks on your finger nails and six weeks on your toe nails. You can get 2 mani's and 2 pedi's out of a $15 sheet. I am terrible with polish but this I can do easily.
